This event was held in collaboration with the ACCA and conducted as a continuation of a series of virtual events on PULSAR Education Community of Practice in the light of COVID-19 challenges that limits face-to-face workshops. The Webinar’s targeted audience included both the members of the PULSAR EduCoP, and participants of the PULSAR IPSAS Training of Trainer Courses (ToT) held earlier in Vienna, Sarajevo, Tirana, and Batumi. In addition, other interested stakeholders also attended the event e.g. from education institutions. The event hosted 81 on-line participants from 17 countries.
The webinar consisted of several presentations on the ACCA’s public sector research; strengthening public sector skills through capacity building partnerships; and further opportunities with ACCA and the public sector to upskill. The session on “Overview of PULSAR IPSAS Training Program” shared the main highlights of the delivered series of ToT courses held between October 2019 and January 2020. The IPSAS ToT program was instrumental in supporting accountancy education across the PULSAR network, and enabling of a cascade framework. The ACCA also shared how we can scale up the public sector accounting education using some country examples where they are involved in capacity building. These shared lessons will be essential for every client country’s action plan to boost public sector accounting education, and directly relate to how training is currently being done in PULSAR participating countries. The presentation was followed by Q&A.
The links to the video of the Webinar in 4 languages will subsequently be shared.
