IFAC and The World Bank, with participation of the IAASB, invite professional accountancy organizations and other stakeholders in Europe and Central Asia to join a discussion on the new ISQMs. Distinguished speakers will deliver a live presentation on key aspects of the ISQMs and answer participants’ questions. The workshop will take place on June 2, from 15:00 to 16:30 (CET), and will be held in English, with simultaneous translation into Russian, Georgian, Ukrainian, Albanian, and Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian.

Speakers:

  • Sue Almond, IAASB Board Member and member of the ISQM 1 Task Force
  • Sue Almond became a member of the IAASB in January 2020. She was nominated by the Transnational Auditors Committee. Sue is Global Head of Assurance with Grant Thornton International. She has worked both within the Grant Thornton network and externally, re-joining Grant Thornton UK as Head of Assurance in 2015. On 1 July 2018, she was appointed Global Head of Assurance at GTIL. She is a former chair of GTIL's Audit Methodology and Learning Steering Committee. Sue led the ACCA's external affairs program and has worked with global standard-setters and major public affairs stakeholders. She acted as Technical Adviser to an IAASB board member for 4 years to 2015 and then remained an active member of IAASB working groups on Data Analytics and Emerging forms of Extended Reporting. Sue is a member of the International Integrated Reporting Council. She has served as chair of the Global Public Policy Group (GPPC; largest 6 accountancy networks) Standard Setting Working Group. Sue studied Mathematics at Durham University and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983.
  • Natalie Klonaridis, Deputy Director of the IAASB
  • Natalie Klonaridis was the lead staff responsible for the IAASB’s project on firms’ systems of quality management (ISQM 1). Prior to her role at the IAASB, Natalie was a Senior Manager in Deloitte South Africa’s national office, where she was involved in a number of activities affecting the practice, including the firm’s system of quality control. She also participated in audit, assurance and regulatory working groups and committees at a local level. Natalie has many years of audit experience after working in both a large and small firm.
