A new Training of Trainers initiative aimed at modernizing accounting and audit education in Ukraine was officially launched in Kyiv on August 20, 2026. It is designed to equip lecturers at 11 Ukrainian universities with up-to-date, internationally aligned teaching and learning materials — translated into Ukrainian — so that the next generation of accounting and audit professionals enters the workforce fully prepared.

The purpose of this one-day workshop was to disseminate the lessons learned at the regional Accounting and Auditing Education Community of Practice (EduCoP) with the local community of practice from Moldova, and to identify practical and workable solutions to strengthen education in accounting and auditing at both the university and professional levels.

On April 5-6, 2017, the World Bank’s CFRR jointly with the Kyiv National Economic University organized the Workshop on the National Initiatives for Strengthening Accounting Education in Ukraine. The event was organized within the Strengthening Auditing and Reporting in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership (STAREP) regional program, which is aimed to create a transparent policy environment and effective institutional framework for corporate reporting within the countries that make up the European Union’s Eastern Partnership: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

On June 21-22, 2017, the World Bank’s CFRR organized the Workshop on the National Initiatives for Strengthening Accounting Education in Georgia. The event was organized within the Strengthening Auditing and Reporting in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership (STAREP) regional program, which is aimed to create a transparent policy environment and effective institutional framework for corporate reporting within the countries that make up the European Union’s Eastern Partnership: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

National initiatives for improving accounting education and strengthening professional accounting organizations (PAO) in Belarus were discussed at a workshop organized by the World Bank’s CFRR on September 20-21.
