The training was organized as part of the World Bank’s Enhancing Accounting, Auditing and Sustainability Reporting (EAASURE) program funded jointly by the Austrian Ministry of Finance and SECO, implemented by CFRR.
The training was conducted at the request of the Institute of Accountants and Chartered Accountants of the Republic of North Macedonia (IACANM). It aimed to strengthen the capacity of accountancy profession in the country resulting in enhanced quality of IFRS-based financial statements.
The training objective was to deliver up-to-date knowledge on the implementation of new IFRS Accounting Standards to accountancy practitioners and trainers in North Macedonia. The target audience included IFRS trainers and professionals from business community as well as academia. The workshop was delivered in a hybrid mode, with face-to-face sessions in Skopje and virtual connections to allow access for other interested participants within and outside the country.
The training was attended by over 180 participants connected virtually from 10 countries, and 40 face to face.
