Accountancy Education in the Public Sector: (i) Updates on IFAC initiatives and tools; and (ii) Presentation of Survey results on PULSAR EduCoP, progress update and 2021 workplan

Supporting the development of accountants & finance professionals in its beneficiary countries is one of the main objectives of PULSAR Education Community of Practice (EduCoP). Between October 2019 and early 2020, an IPSAS Training of Trainers (ToT) Program for the core group of trainers from PULSAR participating countries was completed and formed the basis for further scaling up IPSAS training in beneficiary countries.

CFRR – IFAC Regional SMP Forum

Representatives of 20 regional and national Professional Accountancy Organizations (PAOs) met in Vienna on 31 May 2017, with experts from the World Bank’s Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) and the International Federation of Accountants®(IFAC®), to discuss ways to address the challenges facing small and medium-sized practices (SMPs) and small and medium-sized entities (SMEs) as well as the opportunities available to them.

Montenegro - Achieving Excellence in Accountancy Education: Sharing Good Practices and Opportunities for Reform

Audit Training of Trainers Virtual Workshop: Updates from IAASB, IESBA and IFAC’s SMP Committee

This virtual workshop updated participants on the ongoing initiatives of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee over 2017. Participants also received insights into the priorities and future projects of the IAASB, IESBA and the IFAC SMP Committee.

Audit Training of Trainers Virtual Workshop: The Role of the Accountancy Profession while Supporting Integrated Reporting Implementation

This virtual workshop allowed participants to gain further insights into Integrated Reporting , learn about the important advocacy role that the global accountancy profession has while supporting theimplementation process, and learn about available tools, resources and examples to help adoption.

CFRR – IFAC Joint Education Community of Practice

This one-day EU REPARIS Program Education Community of Practice workshop, organized jointly by the World Bank Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) and the International Federation of Accountants® (IFAC®), convened over 60 participants including the leadership team of national accounting organizations from the Western Balkans, other interested European Professional Accountancy Organizations (PAOs) and international experts in the field.
