Audit Training of Trainers

Audit Training of Trainers (Audit ToT) activities focus on developing the capacity of the audit profession to deliver high-quality training and continuing professional development programs based on International Standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board® (IAASB®). This regional activity for participants in the EU-REPARIS program aims to facilitate shared learning and peer exchange regarding the design, content, implementation arrangements, teaching and authorization environment for CPD. It focuses on the needs and challenges of Small and Medium Sized Audit Practices (SMPs) aiming to help develop both their technical and essential soft skills.

Strategies for Greater Compliance with International Education Standards

On May 30, 2017, the World Bank’s CFRR organized a Workshop on Strategies for Greater Compliance with International Education Standards in Vienna. The event was organized within the Strengthening Auditing and Reporting in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership (STAREP) regional program, which is aimed to create a transparent policy environment and effective institutional framework for corporate reporting within the countries that make up the European Union’s Eastern Partnership: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Virtual seminar: Implementing competency based accounting education and training - the fundamentals

The Accounting and Auditing Education Community of Practice of the regional Strengthening Auditing and Reporting in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership (STAREP) program took part in a virtual seminar on November 28, 2017. The seminar focused on the implementation of competency-based accounting education, including providing feedback on a new education and training guide book being produced as part of the STAREP program.

Dissemination workshop of the Advisory Note on Professional Auditor Qualification in Moldova

While significant progress was demonstrated by the Moldovan authorities in aligning the audit and accounting legislation to the EU acquis requirements, there is still a room for a better alignment of the requirements and process related to Professional Auditor Qualification to the provisions of the International Education Standards (IES) and good international practices.

International Public Sector Accounting Standards Training of Trainers

The PULSAR program is a regional and country-level program targeting the Western Balkans and the EU Eastern Partnership countries to support the development of public sector accounting and financial reporting frameworks in line with international standards and good practice. It was established to scale up World Bank support for Public Financial Management reform and improve government accountability, transparency, and performance.
